Chair Yoga is what it sounds like...yoga done while seated on a chair. The chair becomes and extension of the body, allowing the student to safely stretch, lengthen and strengthen the body to alleviate tension, restore vital energy and enhance range of motion and flexibility. Chair Yoga is perfect for those with mobility issues or those who may find getting down on the floor to do yoga too demanding or uncomfortable. Incorporating breath work and meditation, Chair Yoga provides a full yoga experience. Every body is unique. Chair Yoga can be adapted to address a variety of differences and needs, safely allowing all to receive the gifts of a yoga practice. As well, chair yoga can be useful to office workers and students. Learning to do a brief Chair Yoga sequence at your desk may help relieve stress and increase productivity. Chair Yoga requires no specialized equipment or attire. Classes are fun and gentle with an emphasis placed on each students unique ability.
